There is a new episode of my web series The Lesbian Tea Basket, where I rate and review tea and reclaim tea parties for lesbians. I was heading on my Gay American Road Trip and needed a hostess gift that wasn't too expensive and spoke to my personality. It's great! Even if the host(ess) doesn't drink tea, chances are if they are hosting one lesbian there will be another and we are a tea drinking people.
My friend Fae stopped by today and mentioned she hadn't seen a new Lesbian Tea Basket recently and I realized it's because I haven't posted them to my blog! How negligent.
Darlings, cozy up to your computers and watch two sorta bummed episodes. I have mentioned previously that my job of three years is ending (second layoff in 3 years--where are the small business bail outs, Obama!?!) and quite suddenly last week my relationship of four months ended. Ironically right after I bought a box of tea, so it's randomly tea related.
When I was in San Francisco in January I filmed an episode of the Lesbian Tea Basket about iced tea! This really awesome iced tea from this amazing place in the Castro. The gentleman behind the counter totally sold me on Hippie Blend. I was ready for it to be a disappointment with a name like that.
I hope you enjoy it!!
I welcome my straight friend Leslie onto the Basket to talk about Celestial Seasonings Red Zinger, Burning Man, her observations of the lesbian community and her cat. Also, we're dressed like mythical creatures. Enjoy!
I love traveling queers! Wyatt Riot quit his job and life and hit the road. He's living the dream! I ask him about that and his fashion on the latest episode of the Lesbian Tea Basket! (And review Stash Lemon Ginger tea.)
Just a blog housekeeping note: for some reason the bandwidth on Queer Fat Femme.com went bananas the other day and I exceeded the meager bandwidth I pay for (maybe it's time I sold advertising?) so for a couple of days there was a blank screen where there once were pithy anecdotes and queer magic fun times. I make it up to you now with this...
New episode of the Lesbian Tea Basket! Check it out, featuring Alix and Jen Gandy, discussion of Maple Chasing and, you know, tea for lesbians.
The latest episode of the Lesbian Tea Basket is a pretty rare event caught on film. My friend Elisabeth did not set out to do this but I believe she out gayed me for approximately 7 minutes. Not that being gay is a contest, since being gay is truly the greatest team sport of them all. However, I am told by many people quite often that I am the gayest person they know and I cannot wait to show them how Elisabeth is even gayer.
While I cast about looking for someone to collaborate on the sound editing for FemmeCast, I've been a little antsy to make media. I was struck with the divine spirit to share my recent passion for tea and my enduring passion for lesbianism in the form of totally DIY, low-tech videos. Mostly I am just frustrated with how hard it is to determine whether or not tea is any good from the box.
There are four episodes so far, with more to come as inspiration continues. I've instituted a rating system and occasionally have guest hosts.
So grab a cup of tea, cozy up to your computer and enjoy!
